Ensured Delivery with AXIAR Deliver

In the example above, the printer fails in the middle of a print job and the job is rerouted to a designated backup printer. Without AXIAR Deliver, users would have to reprint the entire job, which incurs additional costs in time and material. Now that AXIAR has determined that the first printer is down, all future jobs will be rerouted to the backup printer while prompting the users about the change in destination. Additionally, AXIAR Deliver can notify the IT Manager of the malfunctioning printer.

Printer Malfunctions

Before AXIAR

Users continue attempting to use the printer, causing multiple jobs to be queued. Once the printer is fixed, the jobs release but user has no use for them as they already re-sent the print job manually to another printer. The wasted output sits in a box next to the printer to be recycled.

With AXIAR

AXIAR detects the printer error and reroutes all the jobs to alternate printer(s). Users are notified of the job destination change by Windows Message and/or email. This drastically reduces the amount of reprints in an environment, saving money with every ensured delivery.

Decrease SLA Requirements

Studies indicate that 50% of all help desk calls are related to printing. A printer malfunctions and typically IT will receive emails from users demanding a fix immediately, causing Help Desk personnel to spend a large amount of time addressing print-related issues.

AXIAR allows IT and Help Desk personnel to solve jobs remotely by re-routing jobs automatically based on device availability. By ensuring delivery, AXIAR reduces the urgency of print-related issues and allows IT and Help Desk personnel to prioritize network trouble-shooting.
